Advisory - Coronavirus Infection

Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer is in close contact with PEI’s Chief Public Health Office to monitor, rapidly identify and manage any cases of 2019-nCoV occurring in that Canada in order to protect the health of Canadians.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is also working with all provinces and territories, and its international partners, including the World Health Organization, to actively monitor the situation.

LOW RISK

The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with 2019-nCoV in Wuhan, China as low for Canada and for Canadian travelers.

Public health risk is continually reassessed as new information becomes available.
