Asphalt work taking place in Bayview

Asphalt shoulder widening and resurfacing will be taking place on Route 6 in Bayview.

The work begins approximately 300 metres east (towards Charlottetown) of the intersection with Reid Road and proceeds east on Route 6 for approximately 1 kilometre. 

This will improve the quality of the road surface and improve drainage.

Dates: 

June 25, with work expected to last one week.

Traffic:

Two-way, one-lane, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
