Closure of Water Street ramp onto the Hillsborough Bridge

As part of the Stratford sewer line project on the Hillsborough Bridge, the Water Street ramp onto the bridge will be closed starting Friday, May 29. This closure is expected to be in place for approximately 2 – 3 weeks.

To access the bridge, most vehicles will be allowed to turn right at the intersection of Water Street and Route 1 rather than using the ramp. However, large trucks will only be allowed to access the bridge via Grafton Street or Riverside Drive.

Additional delays are expected on Water Street and drivers are encouraged to choose alternate routes. Slow down in construction zones and follow the directions of traffic control personnel and signs.

Traffic flow on the Hillsborough Bridge is expected to be reinstated to 4 lanes by the end of next week.
