Granville Street roundabout overnight paving

Work continues on the Route 2 and Granville Street roundabout. There will be overnight paving on the roundabout on the evening of Thursday, August 8. Overnight paving will allow for the placement of the final lift of asphalt on the roundabout with minimal disruption to traffic and construction.

Work will occur between 8pm on August 8 and 6am on August 9. This work will occur for one night only and will be weather dependent.  Traffic will not be permitted through the roundabout during this period.  Accommodations will be made for emergency vehicles at all times.

Detours will be in place to direct traffic around the site.  Route 2 will be closed between Central Street and the Travellers Rest Roundabout (local traffic permitted).  Granville Street will be closed north of Roy Boates Avenue.  Local businesses will remain open during regularly scheduled business hours.

Allow for additional travel time and choose alternate routes where available.
