Hillsborough Bridge construction update

Traffic flow on the Hillsborough Bridge continues to be reduced to a single lane each way as work to replace the expansion joints on the bridge continues.

Effective immediately, pedestrian access will be temporarily restricted to the south side of the bridge deck only for approximately two weeks. This is required to allow for the expansion joint work to continue.

Also, effective immediately, wide loads on the bridge will only be permitted on weekdays between the hours of 9:00am and 3:30pm and on weekends from 6:30am – 6:30pm. Anyone wishing to transport a wide load across the bridge is asked to call (902)314-9339 to coordinate with onsite traffic control personnel.

Motorists are reminded that this area is a construction zone and traffic controls will be in place as work continues on the additional phases of the Stratford sewer line.
