KCMH Lab/X-ray and ED closed Thursday, November 14

Health PEI advises that the emergency department and laboratory and X-ray services at the Kings County Memorial Hospital (KCMH) will be closed Thursday, November 14.

The closure of the ED and the lab and X-ray services is needed to accommodate work related to the renovations occurring at the KCMH to improve patient privacy and staff safety. Renovations include work to the laboratory and front entrance. The lab and X-ray services will close as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, and the emergency department will close at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13. The lab and X-ray services and the emergency department will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, November 15.

As a result of the scheduled closure, there will be walk-in clinics at the Montague Health Centre on Thursday, November 14 at the following times:

  • 9:00-11:00 a.m.
  • 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Health PEI apologizes for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
