Point Prim Road detour in eastern PEI

Traffic will be detoured in the eastern community of Mount Buchanan as crews replace a timber structure on the Point Prim Road.

The Point Prim Road, Route 209, will be closed between the Trans-Canada Highway and MacAulay’s Wharf Road beginning Monday, January 8th.

Only local traffic will be permitted until construction is finished in March.

Drivers are asked to slow down, obey signs, and follow the posted detour route on the Trans-Canada Highway, Glashvin Road and MacAulay’s Wharf Road.
