Road construction projects begin Monday

Motorists should be aware of possible disruptions in Cornwall, Oyster Bed Bridge, and Abrams Village beginning Monday (April 30) as spring construction begins.

Trans Canada Highway Extension

Most of the work will be completed off road:

  • the first section commences at the Cornwall Road and proceeds west for approximately 1 km; and
  • the second section commences approximately 200 metres west of the Linwood Road and proceeds west for a distance of approximately 2.7 km.

Traffic control personnel will be onsite when traffic disruptions are required. Delays can be expected. Work will continue through to mid-to-late November.

Construction of the Cornwall Road interchange and Clyde River bridge will also begin later in the spring/summer.
