Road work in Ellerslie/Bideford, Cavendish

Road work begins May 18 in the Ellerslie Bideford area.

Work includes replacing culverts, milling existing asphalt, placing asphalt base and seal, and shouldering. This work begins approximately 720 metres south of the intersection of Route 12 and Dystant Road and proceeds north on Route 12 for approximately 1,920 metres.

On May 23, work on the Cavendish active transportation trail begins again.

This includes placing asphalt seal, landscaping, and other necessary work. This project commences approximately 150 metres east of the intersection of Route 6 and Route 13 and proceeds east for approximately 300 metres.

For both projects, two-way one-lane stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Traffic should reduce speed and be prepared to stop. Delays can be expected.
