Road work on Route 1 in Bonshaw
Road work is about to begin on a section of the Trans-Canada Highway in Bonshaw.
Construction crews will be on site at the intersection of Route 1 and St. Catherine’s Road on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Work will continue eastward past the Green Road intersections and includes new asphalt on the bridge.
Approximately 575 meters of existing asphalt will be removed. New catch basins and storm sewers will be installed along with concrete curbs, a median, new asphalt and landscaping.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
Motorists are asked to obey signs and traffic control personnel. Two-way one-lane stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Drivers should reduce speed and be prepared to stop. Delays can be expected.
