The Ministry of Housing and Communities works collaboratively to enable Islanders to have access to safe, suitable, and affordable housing. The Ministry supports efforts to increase provincial housing supply, reduce barriers for first-time home buyers, and to support those most in need of access to appropriate housing and services. The Ministry is also responsible to work with municipalities to support strong local governance, and enable sustainable, accountable communities.
