Dorsey, Michele M Q.C.
Michele Dorsey was appointed Deputy Minister in 2014, first serving as Deputy Minister for the Department of Environment, Labour and Justice and Deputy Attorney General. In 2015, Ms. Dorsey was appointed as Deputy Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Deputy Attorney General. In June 2016, Ms. Dorsey was appointed Deputy Minister of the Department of Communities, Land and Environment.
Prior to being appointed Deputy Minister with the Government of Prince Edward Island, Ms. Dorsey spent 27 years practicing law. Ms. Dorsey has served on the Board of Directors for several organizations including P.E.I. Citizen’s Advocacy, Queens County Residential Services, Family Violence Prevention P.E.I., CHANCES, Mental Health Commission of Canada and the Association of Newcomers P.E.I.
Michele Dorsey has a Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island.
