Mitchell, Erin T
Erin Mitchell received her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2003. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious and Classical Studies from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec, and a Master of Arts degree in Religion and Culture from Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
Following her admission to the PEI Bar, Ms. Mitchell practiced law in Charlottetown with a primary focus on criminal and civil litigation. In 2010, she joined the public service as Director of Policy, Policing and Crime Prevention, and most recently served as Director of Justice Policy and Privacy Services with the department of Justice and Public Safety.
Ms. Mitchell was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Deputy Attorney General on June 20, 2016.
She lives in Mermaid with her husband and two young children.
