Mundy, Hon. Tina
Martina (Tina) Mundy was first elected to the Legislative Assembly on May 4, 2015. On January 7, 2016, Premier Wade MacLauchaln appointed her Minister of Family and Human Services.
She previously served on many Standing Committees including Agriculture, Fisheries, Communities, Land, Environment, Education, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Energy, Rules, Regulations, Private Bills and Privileges.
Prior to becoming MLA for Summerside-St. Eleanors, Tina served on Summerside City Council where she was the Chair of Police, Fire and Emergency Services; Human Resources/Legal; Culture Summerside and the Technical Services and Planning Board. She also worked for the Holland College Foundation and the College of Piping Celtic Performing Arts of Canada as a Fund Development Officer.
As an MLA, Tina strives to improve communities across the province by working to ensure that every Islander has the opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding life.
She has long history of serving her community and is a passionate promoter of her hometown, Summerside. She is an active volunteer and is committed to providing opportunities for social and economic engagement. She has served as director on numerous Boards as well as serving as a liaison with the East Prince Women’s Information Centre to help form new partnerships to combat cyber bullying.
Ms. Mundy lives in Summerside and loves spending time with her children Erin, Taylor and Jared. She lives with, and cares for her father Don, a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force. She is extremely proud of Canada’s Military and is a dedicated advocate for improving the lives of Veterans and their families.
