Annual Roadside Cleanup

Saturday, May 13, 2017 - 7:00am
Special Event

Each spring, the PEI Women's Institute asks Islanders across the province to help with efforts to keep our roadsides clean of litter. Specially marked cleanup bags are free and available from Women's Institute members in your community or at the following locations:

IWMC Facilities

  • Waste Watch Drop-off Centres: Brockton, New London, Murray River and Dingwell Mills
  • GreenIsle in Charlottetown
  • East Prince Waste Management facility in Wellington

IWMC Offices

  • 110 Watts Avenue, West Royalty Industrial Park
  • 100 Schoot Street, Tignish

Do I put the filled bags in my waste cart?

Actually, you can leave the bags on the roadside. Staff of the Department of Transportation and Public Works will pick up the specially marked bags after the roadside cleanup date.

Who can I contact for more information?
