Search the PEI Register of Heritage Places
The Register of Heritage Places is a searchable inventory of municipal and provincial heritage places recognized or designated for their heritage value on PEI. It is administered through PEI’s Provincial Heritage Places Recognition Program. Learn more about the program, or how to register a site or structure as a heritage place, by visiting the Provincial Heritage Places Recognition Program page.
Heritage places are recognized for their historic or cultural value, or for their association with a person, group, or event. They may include buildings, landscapes, districts, natural areas, trails, cemeteries and immovable features that contribute to better understanding PEI’s heritage.
Use the search tool to find information about heritage places by site name, civic address, community, field of interest, recognition type and authority, or construction dates.
An interactive map is planned for this search tool. Feedback is welcomed. To help us identify areas where our search tool can be improved, fill out our survey on the new PEI Register of Heritage Places or by forwarding feedback to heritageplaces@gov.pe.ca by August 5th, 2026.
