About this site
New design, new name
The new Government of Prince Edward Island website is designed to better serve residents and businesses by making it easier to search and find information from any device, anywhere, any time – all the time.
“Mobile-friendly, better search, user-friendly language and one design that is the same across government”; these are the features that Islanders told us were important in a new website. During our user research, people told us the simpler the better.
“Less is more when it comes to providing content for web users. Information should be more user-focused, current, reliable and segmented better” – focus group participant
The government website is 20 years old with more than 80,000 pages. That’s a lot of information to review and rewrite. So, if you’re searching for a specific program or service, fear not – it’s probably coming soon, along with many other features that you said are important.
This new design organizes information by topics with popular links. This approach groups related types of information such as health, education or jobs all in one place, regardless of department.
