Agriculture Labour Support Initiative (ALSI)

The Agriculture Labour Support Initiative (ALSI) connects individuals seeking employment on a farm with prospective agriculture employers. The objective of the service is to: 

  • provide an additional employment resource to job seekers and agricultural employers in PEI
  • facilitate timely access to employment and labour for the agriculture industry in PEI

Note: Decisions with respect to hiring job seekers remains entirely with the employer.

Who is eligible to register?

Both job seekers and employers are eligible to register with the ALSI. Job seekers must be living in PEI and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

How are job seekers connected with agriculture employers?

The Department of Agriculture and Land will review job seeker profiles and provide profiles to agriculture employers.

I'm a JOB SEEKER, how do I register to be connected with a farm?

I'm an EMPLOYER, how do I register to be connected with a job seeker?

Who makes employment decisions for program participants?

All decisions with respect to hiring remains entirely with the employer.

I’m a job seeker, do I need a resume to register with ALSI?

You do not need a resume to register with the program, however, there is an option to upload your resume. 

Is there a cost associated with the program?

There is no cost for either a job seeker or an employer to register with the ALSI.
