Climate Change Mitigation Recommendations Report

The Government of Prince Edward Island understands the need for all provinces and territories in Canada to play their part to mitigate or reduce the harmful impacts of climate change. As part of this understanding, the provincial Department of Communities, Land and Environment tasked Dunsky Energy Consulting to provide recommendations for the development of a PEI Climate Change Mitigation Strategy.

Key Areas for Action

The recommendations report addresses five areas for action on climate change:

  1. Buildings and Facilities
  2. Food and Farming
  3. Forestry Policies
  4. Moving People and Goods
  5. Making Decisions and Furthering Provincial Goals
