2018 Municipal Orientation Session
The 2018 Municipal Orientation Session was designed to create an opportunity for elected candidates to network with both new and experienced mayors and councillors and to help you gain some insight into the issues and subject matter many councils face.
When and where was the Orientation Session?
The orientation session was held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the North Shore Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Who hosted the Orientation Session?
The orientation session was hosted by Municipal Affairs and the Federation of Prince Edward Island Municipalities. The asset management presentation was offered through the Municipal Asset Management Program, which is delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada.

The keynote speaker for this event was Christina Benty, MA. Christina Benty is the former Mayor of Golden, BC and along with her colleague Caleb Moss, has written The Joy of Governing.

The cost of this orientation session was $50 plus HST per person and includes valuable handout material.
