Payment and Refund Information for the Prince Edward Island International Student Program (PEIISP)
International students who enroll in the PEIISP are required to pay a non-refundable application fee and tuition fee for the education program. Proof of payment for medical insurance is also required.
Application Fee Description
The International Student Application Fee is $275 CAD
Tuition Fee Description
The International Student Tuition Fee is $10,620 CAD*
*there is a $20 banking fee for tuition payments made by wire transfer
Tuition Fee Refund Policy
Complete Refund (less a CAD $500 administrative fee) may be granted under the following conditions:
The student is denied a study permit by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. In this case, the following documents are required:
- The original or a copy of the Letter of Rejection issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
- The original Letter of Acceptance provided by the PEIISP.
- The original tuition receipt provided by the PEIISP.
- A completed Refund Request Form signed by parent/guardian/agent.
Complete refund (less a CAD $1500 administration fee) may be granted if a student withdraws at least 30 calendar days or more prior to the commencement of the program as prescribed in the Official Letter of Acceptance. The following documents are required:
- The original Letter of Acceptance provided by the PEIISP.
- The original tuition receipt provided by the PEIISP.
- A completed Refund Request Form signed by parent/guardian/agent.
Partial Refund (less a CAD $500 administrative fee) is only available for a semester which has not yet commenced and for which tuition has been paid in full and may be granted under the following conditions:
- Death or serious injury of the student or their immediate family during the academic year that requires the student’s return to their home country.
- The student and their parents/legal guardians become a Permanent Resident during the academic year.
- The student’s parents/legal guardians secures a work permit during the academic year.
- The student’s parents/legal guardians secures a study permit for a degree/diploma granting program during the academic year.
The following documents are required:
- The original Letter of Acceptance provided by the PEIISP.
- The original tuition receipt provided by the PEIISP.
- A completed Refund Request Form signed by parent/guardian/agent.
- If applicable – official Immigration documents indicating Permanent Resident, Parent Work Permit, or Parent Study Permit.
No Refund of tuition will be granted under the following conditions:
- The student is found in violation of the Participation Terms or General Waiver for the PEIISP.
- The student is found in violation of the school or homestay rules and policies and/or provincial/federal laws and forced to withdraw from the PEIISP.
- The student chooses to leave the PEIISP to attend school in another system.
- The Prince Edward Island public school system is unable to provide education due to labour disputes or other causes outside of its control.
