Home Library Service

Volunteers of the Home Library Service deliver library materials to registered Islanders with a physical or print disability and to others who may be recovering from surgery or illness

The Home Library Service is an outreach program that delivers library materials to Islanders who are not able to visit a library in person. Items are chosen by library staff, and delivered by volunteers every six weeks.

Who is eligible?

This service is available to anyone:

  • with a physical or print disability;
  • with restricted mobility;
  • with a chronic condition; or
  • recovering from surgery or illness.

If you live in a community care facility, you can also speak to a care worker about using the library's Community Care Facility Book Delivery Service.

Fill out a Home Library Service application form and bring it to your local library.
