Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)

The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) was started in 2000 by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). PISA is a test given to 15-year-olds every three years. It measures student performance in reading, math, and science, and provides valuable information on student achievement at the international level. PISA tests students on their ability to use their knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges, and is not tied to any country’s education curriculum.
