Public Library Donations
Books and other materials can be donated at any branch of the Public Library Service. The library reserves the right to place donations and to dispose of anything not added to the collection.
What kinds of items is the library looking for?
- Books in excellent condition published within the last 2 years
- Classics
- Local-interest items
- DVDs, music CDs, and audiobooks
Is there anything the library does not want?
- Items in poor condition
- Out of date items
- Encyclopedias, textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed books
- Old magazines
- VHS and cassette tapes, CD-ROMs
Can the library pick up my donations?
The library is not able to pick up donations.
Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?
You may request a tax receipt if you donate more than $100 worth of materials in a year.
