Special Needs Grant for Licensed Early Learning and Child Care Centres

The Special Needs Grant supports the inclusion of children with special needs in a licensed early learning and child care setting by providing funding for additional staff.

For the purposes of this grant, a child with special needs is defined as a person who is under the age of 12 years, has a diagnosed disability, and requires additional or specific types of care to meet the usual developmental goals.

  • Information on children needing support (see the application form for a template)
  • Information on staffing schedules (see the application form for a template)
  • Copies of your centre’s personnel policies, including average salaries for your staff
