Pesticide Loader / Mixer Certificate

Individuals who do not apply pesticides, but are directly involved with the mixing of a non-domestic pesticide must have a Pesticide Loader / Mixer Certificate. All pesticide loader / mixer certificates are issued by the Department of Environment, Water and Climate Change.

What are the requirements?

To get a pesticide loader / mixer certificate, you must be 18 years of age and complete a one-day training program. A suitable training program is offered by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.

What are the fees?

$50. There is no HST. Make cheques payable to the Minister of Finance. Contact the Agriculture Information Desk for any fees associated with their training program. 

How do I renew my certificate?

A pesticide loader / mixer certificate is valid for a maximum period of five years. It can only be renewed by completing another one-day training program.
