The strategy focuses on market diversification through global trade missions, providing direct financial relief via the Tariff Working Capital Assistance Program, reducing transportation costs like bridge tolls, and dismantling interprovincial trade barriers. Together, these efforts aim to make PEI's economy more resilient and globally competitive.

Prince Edward Island Tariff Impact Survey
All Island businesses affected by, or at risk from, U.S. tariffs are encouraged to complete the Innovation PEI survey. Feedback from businesses will help shape the province’s response as the Canada-US trade conditions evolve.
Financial Assistance and Training for Impacted Businesses
Tariff Working Capital Assistance ProgramThis funding will provide business with immediate access to up to $500,000 in working capital at an interest rate of four per cent over seven years.
