Farm Building Assessment Program

The farm building assessment program provides owners of farm properties with tax relief for farm buildings that are no longer used for the reason for which they were originally constructed, converted to an alternate use, or vacated.

Who is eligible?

Any property owner with farm buildings on the property may be eligible for a farm building assessment.

How does it work?

If eligible, depending on the condition and use of the farm building(s), an assessment allowance would be applied.

How do I apply?

If you wish to apply to the Farm Building Assessment Program, you must complete an Application for Farm Building Assessment Review (Demande de revision de l’évaluation des bâtiments agricoles) form and return it to Taxation and Property Records as directed on the form.
