What are the historical Gasoline Tax rates in the Province of Prince Edward Island?

How are changes made to the rate of Gasoline Tax?

A change in the rate of Gasoline Tax would normally be announced in the Budget Speech presented to the Legislative Assembly by the Minister of Finance. Any such announcement would initiate the tabling of legislative amendments in support of the tax rate change.

How are consumers and distributors informed of Gasoline Tax rate changes?

A formal Gasoline Tax Notice is produced each time there is a Gasoline Tax rate change. Gasoline Tax Notices - Rates are forwarded by email and/or mail to fuel distributors and are posted on our website.
