About the Council of the College of Registered Nurses of PEI

The Council of the College of Registered Nurses of PEI is the regulatory body and professional association for all registered nurses and nurse practitioners in Prince Edward Island. The council has the authority through the Registered Nurses Act to regulate the profession and to advocate for healthy public policy in the public interest.

Who serves on the board?

One public representative, who is not a member of the College of Registered Nurses of PEI, is appointed from among interested individuals who apply through Engage PEI.

Who is the minister responsible?

The minister responsible is the Minister of Health and Wellness.
