About the PEI College of Optometrists

The role of the Prince Edward Island College of Optometrists is to regulate the practice of optometry according  legislation set out in the Optometry Act and to promote a high standard of care.

Who serves on the board?

In addition to appointed optometrists, two community members are appointed from among individuals who apply through Engage PEI.

Who is the minister responsible?

The minister responsible is the Minister of Health and Wellness.
