PEI Arena Information Sheets

Post circuit breaker measures are in place until further notice. The measures will be reassessed throughout.

All arenas across PEI have opened for the 2020-21 season with a number of new protocols in order to meet the Chief Public Health Office Guidance documents.  With 26 different ice surfaces across the province, and each ice surface having a slightly different plan, the information sheets in the table below explain each arenas procedures.  It is everyone's responsibility to know and abide by the protocols developed by the facility.

The Chief Public Health Office has recently released a new guidance document for arenas should Islanders wish to know the various protocols that arena managers must follow in creating their plan.  Some arenas have multiple plans for larger events (examples include Islanders hockey or Western Capitals game) and these plans are not included here.  The list below are for everyday minor sport users or community rentals.

Throughout the season, arena operators may change their plan based on lessons learned.  The third column indicates which version of the document is the most recent.  Please do your part to keep the participants and spectators safe so sport can continue in arenas across PEI.

It is encouraged that for any game that is taking place, that the home team reach out to the visiting team to ensure they understand the protocols for the ice and spectator cohorts prior to arriving at a facility.

Note: The version 1 Arena Information Sheets are dated for November 20th as they reflect PEI's new mandatory mask policy that begins Friday November 20.
