Health Storm Centre
Will my appointment be cancelled?
Severe weather and road conditions can impact medical appointments and other health care services.
If you have an appointment scheduled at a hospital, clinic or with another health care service, please call ahead to confirm your appointment or notify staff if you are unable to make an appointment.
Where can I find health cancellation information?
Information and updates about cancellations or closures to health services or facilities will be posted to this web page (see below) and on Health PEI’s Twitter. Announcements will also be distributed to local media outlets, including radio stations.
Islanders are reminded to call 8-1-1 for non-urgent health care advice, or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
How can I prepare for a winter storm?
Always check the local forecast in your area for the most up-to-date weather information. For road conditions, visit PEI 511.
Health PEI encourages you to consider your health needs prior to adverse weather and to prepare for any emergency. For more information, please visit Emergency Preparedness and Storm Response.
