Volunteers help build strong communities

Volunteers complement the care provided by professional staff. Every day volunteers across Prince Edward Island contribute to the well-being and comfort of patients, clients and residents.

Why should I become a volunteer?

You can volunteer with Health PEI to: 

  • make a positive difference in someone’s life
  • network/make connections with other volunteers and health care professionals
  • obtain experience for future employment or educational plans
  • build new skills and help strengthen the community
  • learn more about the health care system 

Where can I volunteer?

There are many volunteer opportunities available in hospitals (acute care) and in nursing homes and manors (long-term care) across the province:
