Coordinated Access

Coordinated Access (CA) is a process through which individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness are provided access to housing and support services based on a standardized set of procedures for intake, assessment of need, and matching and referal.

The John Howard Society of Prince Edward Island leads Coordinated Access initiatives in PEI and engages with nearly 20 organizations who provide housing and other supports to the most vulnerable on PEI.

The John Howard Society also coordinates the Homelessness Individual and Families Information System (HIFIS) database.
