Triple P - Parenting Program

Triple P is a parenting program used across Canada and around the world. Triple P does not tell you how to parent but does provide you with tools and strategies you can use. You choose the tools and strategies you need to fit your family. Whether you need a few tips to help set up a toddler’s bedtime routine or you have a teenager going through life-changes that feel unmanageable for you, Triple P has a positive parenting approach to fit your needs.

Who is eligible to access the Triple P Parenting Program?

Anyone who is seeking support in caring for a child aged 0 – 18 years. This could include parents, alternate caregivers or guardians, grandparents, foster parents, etc.

What is the format of the program?

Triple P has 18 different programs that provide information along with tools and strategies to help caregivers with various needs and situations. Some programs are offered in small and/or large groups, while others are offered one-on-one. Some programs are also available on-line for you to work through at your own pace at your convenience.

Who runs the program?

Triple P Parenting programs are offered by trained and accredited practitioners, often based out of schools, community organizations, social service or health agencies in the public or private sector.

What is the cost of the program?

The program is free of charge.

When is the Triple P Parenting Program offered?

The program is offered in four different ways.

  1. The practitioner sets dates and times for sessions and advertises to parents/families.
  2. Anyone can sign up for Triple P, you will be scheduled based on programming demand.
  3. The practitioner will work one-on-one with a family based on a mutually agreed schedule.
  4. On-line (certain programs) anytime at: Triple P Parenting in PEI.
