CCBF - Municipal Strategic Component
The Municipal Strategic Component (MSC) of the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) is targeted at making a transformative difference in the sustainability and future prosperity of local government and unincorporated areas across PEI. Funding is available to Island municipalities and eligible non-profit, for-profit and NGO organizations undertaking projects of significant benefit to a community.

- Capacity Building, investing in growth management and land use planning
- MSC will fund up to 90% of eligible costs for a municipality to develop its Official Plan and Land-use bylaws.

Second-priority projects undertaken in conjunction with a priority project may receive a higher approval ranking.
Consideration will be given to projects that support development or improvements in:
- Broadband connectivity
- Community infrastructure to support tourism, culture, recreation, or sport
- Disaster mitigation
