For energy audits
If you own a home or business and would like to have an energy evaluation to see where you can save energy, efficiencyPEI offers financial assistance:
Commercial Energy Audit Program
Financial assistance of 25% towards cost of an energy audit on your commercial building.
Home Energy Audit Program
Financial assistance of $150 towards cost of an EnerGuide home evaluation
For home upgrades
If you are considering upgrading your existing home's insulation, furnace or boiler, windows or doors, adding a heat pump, or any other efficiency upgrade, efficiency PEI has programs to help you as follows:
Energy Efficient Equipment Rebates
Newly increased rebates for residential homes for other equipment such as heat pumps, boilers and heaters, biomass heat and hot water heaters.
Home Insulation Rebates
Newly increased rebates for adding insulation, replacing windows and doors, and improving air leakage for you home.
Additional rebate for low-income home owners
If you are a low-income home owner efficiencyPEI offers increased rebate amounts for the programs above as well as additional assistance through the Winter Warming program:
Winter Warming
Formally known as the Home Energy Low-income Program (HELP), this is a free weatherization package including air sealing, energy efficient light bulbs, low flow showerhead, programmable thermostat, and a voucher for a free furnace/boiler cleaning.
