Employment Development Agency & Seasonal Jobs Registry

Throughout the year applications are received for seasonal positions available with organizations and government departments. Applicants must be residents of Prince Edward Island and meet program requirements. Positions may include flaggers, park workers, general labourers or  forestry workers and are normally limited to 10 to 20 weeks.  

How can I obtain employment?

When opportunities become available, an electronic database of applicants is searched based on geographical area, employee skill, and job requirements. It is important to provide as much information as possible on your application to be sure all qualified applicants are considered for employment.

When is the deadline to submit my application?

There is no deadline for applications to be submitted. Your application will be valid for one year after the date it is received.  

How do I apply for employment?

Complete one application only, even f you wish to apply to both offices.

I am a student. Can I find seasonal employment?

Student positions are available. Register online for government seasonal jobs or print and complete the student application.

What happens to my application after I apply?

The seasonal hiring office forwards applications to the various departments where the seasonal job exists. If you qualify for an interview, you will be contacted directly by the department.

You will be pre-screened for seasonal jobs based on the information you provide in your application. To help staff determine your suitability for a job, provide as much information as you can.
