Reservists Leave (Military Service)
An employee who is also a member of the Canadian Forces Reserves can take unpaid leave if they have worked for the same employer for at least 90 days and need time off work for training or active duty.
If the employer asks, the start and end date of the leave will need to be given in writing. If the employer asks, the employee will need to give proof of the scheduled training or active duty.
When an employee returns from reservist leave, they must be accepted back into the same position or a similar one with no loss of pay, seniority or benefits.
