Cabot Beach Provincial Park open to swimmers starting Friday

Beginning Friday, July 30, Cabot Beach Provincial Park beach will allow visitors to swim in the designated swimming areas.

Swimming was prohibited at the beach earlier this season due to dangerous currents in the area. Provincial Parks staff continue to monitor the situation and during recent inspection found the danger posed to the public is drastically reduced, if not eliminated, within the designated swim areas.

Islanders and visitors are asked to remain cautious, respect park rules, and swim only in the designated areas.
