Further opportunities for Islanders to give their input on upcoming Operating Budget announced

Further opportunities, in the form of a virtual town hall and a public Facebook Live event, have been announced that will provide more opportunities for Islanders to submit their ideas and feedback on the upcoming budget.

All pre-budget consultations will be virtual this year and will include a virtual town hall that will be held on January 12, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Simultaneous translation will be available.  Interested participants are required to register in advance by calling (902) 368-5501 or by emailing snlee@gov.pe.ca to confirm their attendance.

In addition, there will also be an open Facebook Live event on the Government of PEI Facebook page, which will take place on January 14, 2021, from 7 p.m. until approximately 7:30 p.m.  Registration is not required for this event.

Islanders can continue to submit their ideas and input online at Pre-Budget until January 22, 2021.

We value the input we receive from Islanders. That is why we have made changes to make consultations more inclusive and accessible for all. I invite all Islanders to submit their feedback either online or during one of the virtual consultations that will allow us to develop a budget by Islanders, for Islanders.

-Finance Minister Darlene Compton
