Governor General’s first official visit to Prince Edward Island

All Islanders are invited to attend the arrival of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, to Charlottetown next week.

During her first official visit to Prince Edward Island, the governor general will meet with provincial officials including Her Honour the Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island and the Honourable H. Wade MacLauchlan, Premier of Prince Edward Island. Her Excellency will also visit the University of Prince Edward Island’s Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering.

Members of the public are invited to Government House (1 Terry Fox Drive, Charlottetown) no later than 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25 where Her Excellency will receive military honours, including a 100-person guard of honour and a 21-gun salute.
