Input wanted from Islanders on Health PEI strategic plan
Islanders are being asked for their input on the 2020-2023 Health PEI Strategic Plan which will help improve healthcare across PEI in response to changing needs.
Islanders will have an opportunity to contribute to the development of the new strategic plan through a survey, written submissions and stakeholder consultations.
“The Strategic Plan is built from consultations with Islanders, staff, physicians, organizational leadership and community partners to make sure all voices are heard,” said Jim Revell, Health PEI Board Chair. “We have made great progress since our last Strategic Plan and we continue to be dedicated to engaging patients and families in important conversations about their health care services.”
The Health PEI Strategic Plan identifies the organization’s priorities and will help guide the delivery of health care services and system improvements over the next three years.
“Health PEI’s three-year strategic plan reflects the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals which focuses on the needs of Islanders,” said Denise Lewis Fleming, CEO of Health PEI. “As we move forward it is important to know what Islanders want the future of their healthcare to look like and input is critical to ensuring the development of successful programs and initiatives.”
Surveys are also available at Health PEI’s Primary Care Health Centres across PEI until December 29, 2019.
The strategic plan drives the activities and priorities of Health PEI at all levels. It also provides a basis for public reporting and performance monitoring.
