Islanders lending their voices to government boards
Through Engage PEI, Islanders continue to be involved with government agencies, boards and commissions.
Eleven agencies, boards and commissions welcomed twenty Islanders this month.
“Islanders are always ready to lend a helping hand to one another, and that is at the heart of what makes our communities strong,” said Premier Dennis King. “When Islanders join one of over 70 government boards, they are giving back through their knowledge and experience. I want to recognize them and thank them for their continued engagement to make Prince Edward Island the very best it can possible be.”
Islanders are encouraged to join one of many government boards that align with their interests and knowledge. Some of the boards currently seeking new members are:
- Poverty Reduction Council;
- Employment Standards Board;
- Promoting Wellness & Preserving Health Implementation Council; and
- Learning Partners Advisory Council.
Up to 20 vacancies become available every month. For a full list of current vacancies, and to apply, go to Upcoming Vacancies for Agencies, Boards or Commissions.
