Islanders sharing their expertise with government boards
Engage PEI continues to connect Islanders with opportunities to impact communities across the province.
Fourteen Islanders have been appointed to four government boards this month.
“Islanders have a natural disposition to helping one another and stepping up to do what it takes to make our communities stronger on our Mighty Island,” said Premier Wade MacLauchlan. “Hundreds of Islanders have become involved in government boards through Engage PEI and I extend my thanks to all past and present board members for their engagement and for sharing their knowledge.”
Islanders are encouraged to join one of the more than 70 government boards that align with their interests and knowledge. Some of the boards currently seeking new members are:
- Community Care Facilities and Nursing Homes Board;
- Learning Partners Advisory Council; and
- Provincial Apprenticeship Board.
