Provincial Art Bank seeks submissions from Island artists

Island artists are invited to submit their work by March 12, 2021 to be considered for purchase by the Provincial Art Bank.

The Provincial Art Bank collection includes 257 works of art by 123 Island artists. The art bank acquires, loans and displays art that was purchased or donated. Pieces are displayed in public buildings and spaces for Islanders to enjoy and are available for educational use.

“The Art Bank is just one way we continue to support and celebrate Island artists by having their art displayed and appreciated by Islanders across the province. I encourage all local artists to submit work to be considered for the Art Bank.”

- Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture Minister Matthew MacKay

Provincial Art Bank purchases are made possible through provincial government funding of $10,000 annually. For information on how to apply or to become a jurist, visit: PEI Art Bank Collection or call 902-368-6300.
