Our History
The Bibliothèque publique J.-Henri-Blanchard is located within a multi-purpose facility known as the Centre communautaire La Belle-Alliance. Founded in 2002, this centre aims to bring together the resources of Francophones and Acadians in the Summerside and Miscouche region and to celebrate their culture and language. The facility is also home to École-sur-Mer, Summerside's only French-language school. The Bibliothèque publique J.-Henri-Blanchard has the distinction of being one of the PEI Public Library Service's French-language libraries.
