The Royal Gazette of PEI is the official newspaper of the Government of Prince Edward Island published by the Queen's Printer of Prince Edward Island. It consists of two general types of information: Part I Notices and Part II Regulations. The Royal Gazette is issued each week and is available online here, by subscription, or may be viewed at most public libraries of PEI. Issues are available online dating back to January 1999. The Royal Gazette has been the official source of Government of Prince Edward Island laws and publications since August 1830.
Notices must be received no later than close of business day (4:00 pm during summer hours and 5:00 pm during winter hours) on the Tuesday prior to the publication date in which they should appear.
For weeks that include a statutory holiday such as Easter Monday or Remembrance Day, the deadline is the close of the last business day before Tuesday.
All notices must be submitted in electronic format as a Word or Word Perfect file to firstname.lastname@example.org. Enter "Royal Gazette Submissions" in the subject line. A signed copy of the notice must accompany all submissions. Signed copies may be scanned and sent as a PDF file to the above email or faxed to (902) 368-5168. Your notice will not be published without the signed copy.
The basic rate for notices is $5 per inch plus HST, with a minimum charge of $15 plus HST. Our office will issue an invoice after the notice is published.
The annual subscription rate for the Royal Gazette is $75 (plus applicable taxes) for 52 or 53 weekly issues beginning the first Saturday in January.
In-year new subscriptions will be pro-rated for the first year. A new subscriber may order back issues of the Royal Gazette at the single-copy rate of $1.25 (plus HST) per copy. Individual copies may also be ordered.

Back issues of the Royal gazette are available online dating back to January 1999. For issues prior to January 1999, print copies of most volumes are available for In Library Use Only (not available for loan) at the Confederation Centre Public Library and the Government Services Library.

Back issues of the Royal Gazette are also available at the Public Archives and Records Office. Print copies are available from 1939 to present along with microfilm copies from 1830 to 1980. About the Queen's Printer
The Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island appoints a Queen's Printer for the province who is an officer of the Executive Council Office. The Queen's Printer is required by law (Queen's Printer Act), to publish the Royal Gazette, as well as copies of all legislation, journals of the legislature, and any other material required by law or by the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island in Council.
