In PEI, there is a waiting list to find a new family doctor or nurse practitioner. This waiting list is called the Patient Registry. The Program for Elementary Eye Care helps cover the costs of annual eye exams and up to 3 pairs of glasses, if needed, for children in grades 1 to 6. Who can participate? To qualify, your child must: be enrolled in or eligible to be enrolled in grades 1 to 6; and have a current PEI Health Card. The fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is a safe and painless at-home colorectal cancer screening test that checks for tiny amounts of blood in the stool (poop) that you cannot see. Request to Self-Refer for a Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is recommended to screen for colorectal cancer if you are at increased risk because of a personal and/or family history of colorectal cancer or high-risk polyps. This page provides information on how to renew your PEI Health Card. When should I renew my Health Card? Your PEI Health Card is valid for five years from the date it is issued. You must renew your card(s) before the expiry date to ensure your coverage for publicly-funded medical services continues without interruption.
